The Student Council is the legislative branch of the school. It assists the principal in making rules and decisions concerning the governing of the school when it is in the best interests of the school. The council also assists in all student elections and sponsors many worthwhile projects. Members of the council are elected at the end of each school year, to serve the following year.

Harvey High School Student Council promotes good citizenship, understanding between faculty and students, worthwhile student activities, and in general stimulates a healthy school spirit. It provides an opportunity for students to participate in a democratic school government.

The Student Council/Class Officers will meet collectively at scheduled times throughout the school year. Options for meetings include: Before(7:00 a.m.) or after school(2:10 p.m.) and Pride meetings during lunch periods. All scheduled/unscheduled meetings will be held in the library and announced on the website, afternoon announcements and Channel 26. It is your responsibility to check the high school website for meeting times and activities. Attendance is mandatory, absences will jeopardize your position.
