Academic Challenge is sponsored by WEWS-TV 5 in Cleveland. Each school in the Greater Cleveland/Greater Akron area is encouraged to choose a team to compete against two other schools on a televised academic "Quiz Bowl." Students also participate in additional "Quiz Bowl" competitions in the Greater Cleveland area.
