On Wednesday, September 6, 2017, Alexandra Burrage, Admissions Councelor at the Cleveland Institute of Art visited the AP Studio Art Class to talk about what the Insitute has to offer along with weekday and summer programs, and possible internships and job opportunities after graduating from CIA.
Ms. Burrage presentation included important subjects like the application process, the importance of an online portfolio and its contents, the majors at CIA as well dorms and student life. She finished her presentation with a student video of current CIA students talking about their experience at the Institute and inviting them to visit CIA for a personalized tour.
Ms. Timko, Art Teacher at Harvey said that "students within our community are very talented. It is my position to expose my students to all types of art and job possibilities." She added, "having someone from the Cleveland Institute of Art come and talk about classes, living arrangements, employment, and scholarships is great! This helps the students who want to pursue an art degree but don't want to go to a traditional college."
PCLS would like to thank Ms. Timko and Ms. Burrage for arranging this visit to inform students about CIA and what it has to offer for them.
