On Wednesday, December 13, 2017 the Harvey High School FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) members completed their Community Service Project in the James Dillard Board Room at Harvey High School making monetary and toiletry donations to local agency representatives.
After Diana Lopez’s (President of the Harvey High School FBLA Chapter) introduction, the following FBLA members presented the donations to the representatives of local agencies:
Grace Romig and Estefania De Jesus presented a $35 check and two baskets of toiletries to Barbara Britt from Suit Yourself, a $35 check and two baskets of toiletries to Renee Cruz from Forbes House and a $35 check and two baskets of toiletries to Major Robert Bender from the Salvation Army of Painesville.
The members also presented five big boxes of toiletry items to the Ursuline Pizazza at the St. Augustine Health Center in Cleveland, a $35 check to United Way of Lake County and a $35 check to March of Dimes that will be sent out this week, a $35 check for Ohio - FBLA Senior Scholarship and a $35 check to the FBLA National Scholarship Fund.
The representatives from the agencies expressed their appreciation for the donations and acknowledged the extraordinary job the Harvey High School FBLA Chapter is doing locally and statewide.
After the event, FBLA members went into break out sessions with their mentors from Avery Dennison to prepare for State and National FBLA Competitions.
