Jazz Band is a course where emphasis is placed on building a repertoire of jazz music from each era of jazz history. A primary objective is that each member acquires a knowledge of playing in the swing or jazz style of music and have a basic knowledge of improvisation, Participation in Jazz Camp and all public performances is required. Students are selected through auditions. Rehearsals are held after school.
