PBIS involves teaching student expected behaviors in a consistent and positive way, modeling and acknowledging those behaviors, and helping all students meet expectations and be successful. PBIS has been shown to improve student achievement, student behavior and school climate. In 2015, Ohio first recognized schools who were model examples of strong PBIS; Harvey earned the Bronze Award. Harvey went on to win the Silver Award in 2016. In 2017, Harvey High School applied, and they earned recognition at the gold level. They are one of seven award winning schools to be recognized at this level of distinction, and one of 110 schools to be recognized at any of the levels (Gold, Silver or Bronze). Harvey High School will be honored at the 2017 Ohio PBIS Showcase in Mansfield, Ohio on November 30, 2017. Congratulations, HARVEY HIGH SCHOOL!
